About

Born and raised in New Orleans, La; Kim moved to Chicago in the fall of 2000. Her boyfriend, now husband was from Chicago and had been living in NOLA since Fall, 1998. (One day she will tell you THAT story, it’s a good one!)

After WAY TOO MANY OMG years in retail, it took the world shutting down in March of ’20 for Kim to realize that it was time to give the middle finger to retail.

Her then boyfriend, now husband (having made this gig legal In May of 2010) was running an eBay store. Kim decided to take an indexing course through the UC Berkeley Extension. It kicked her in the ass, it was hard, but she passed it. And it went nowhere. Whoops.

She had a ‘Come to Jesus’ moment In the early months of 2023 and made the Executive Decision to chase her lifelong pipe dream of being a writer.

Kim has been writing fiction (pick a genre, no really just pick one), CNF and memoir sort of pieces since 2023.

She’s had a few pieces published, won a contest, named honorable mention in another, been to a writer’s convention, and in general, is doing what she knew she was always meant to be doing. Writing.

Her day job is working for the Chicago Cubs; she been doing that since the year after the WS win. (as she says, ‘they keep on inviting me back. I guess they’re stuck with me’)

Kim and her husband are firmly in the Team No Kids team. They are, however, owned by two cats, Bailey and Eclaire. Sisters and litter mates, they just turned 3. Kim claims they are not cats. They are 2 year old human toddlers dressed as cats.

In her spare time, Kim enjoys cooking, cross stitching, reading, playing video games and watching really bad movies with her husband. Her sekreit boyfiends are U2’s drummer, Larry Mullen, Jr and Chef Gordon Ramsay. Her husband is okay with this.
